~~WELCOME TO CHICK LIT GODDESS~~

In March of 2010, I started taking online writing classes from Gotham Writers‘ Workshop and since then, I’ve not looked back.  I began with a Creative Writing class, where I was given an assignment of writing 500 words, beginning with “The window…”  Really?  How am I going to do that?, I thought, but it turned out to be something that I didn’t think it would.  I began taking more classes, and each time I was supposed to submit up to 5,000 words to be critiqued.  With each class I took, I kept writing my book, not realizing just how far I got.  Feeling good about the work I was doing, I decided to start writing a second book.  Unfortunately, that book got put in the back burner, and decided to make my first book my job!

In March of 2011 I finished my first Chick Lit, “Redefined Dreams.”  A few months later I found a wonderful editor and handed my book over to her.  With edits going so well, I decided that in December to start another book.  Well, that book (Somewhere Down In Texas) was pushed aside.  I decided that I need to focus on my first book.  Currently, I am still working with her and am enjoying the editing process.  In the month of November, I participated and won National Novel Writers Month and wrote my second book, which is still untitled.  I am a member of RWA, and am subscribed to several Romance and Chick Lit blogs.

I thank my wonderful family and friends for helping me throughout this amazing journey, but most of all, I thank my husband for all his love, support, but especially for the way he inspires me!
