After getting the idea from someone’s blog, I have to say that the idea really struck a chord with me, one I can’t seem to forget.
The idea was to find celebs that resembled their characters, so here are mine:
Lucy, my main Heroine:
Nathan, the main Hero:
Rachel, the heroine’s best friend:
Jackson, is Lucy’s ex-fiance:
Bradley is Jackson’s boyfriend, and a friend to Lucy:
After posting this, I’m sure that my reader are questioning me, and I’m even questioning myself, but this is how I see them…or at least until the book is published.Β π
No, no, no, you are totally right in doing that. I do it all the time! It’s a wonderful way to get a feel for a character, especially if you already like a specific actor. Right now I have two main heros that come from the actors Victor Webster and Alexander Skarsgard from a specific episode of True Blood. And different roles of actors can pinpoint a character. I generally don’t do it with my heroines, but heros most definitely.
But a great idea for all characters. I may just have to use this idea. Thank you so much for posting it.
Thank you for your comment! Good luck with your work! π
I must have read the same post or one very similar, because I just started doing this as well! “Just” as in this morning! Its fun, its productive procrastination (can’t get any better than that!) and it helped me develop the characters a little bit more. Love your choices by the way!
Thanks! I love your way of putting it, “productive procrastination!” That is great! π
Nice cast!
I love to find pictures of my characters. I tape them on my office wall so I can glance at them while writing. π
That’s awesome, and a very good idea, I might add! π
I do the same, Isabella. I’ve also got the photos of the actors I picture as playing my characters pinned up on the wall in front of my writing desk π
Thanks for your comment! That’s an awesome idea, though having a lot of eyes on me, would intimidate me. π Have a great day!
I’ve been doing that for years. It really helps me put a “face” to the personality I create. I attach the picture to their profile, and keep all the characters in a binder to refer back to again and again as I’m writing. Glad to see I’m not alone.
