BOOK FEATURE: “Reveal” by K. Bromberg

I play to win, and I won’t let anything—or anyone—get in the way of what I want.

REVEAL, the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series by New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg, is available now!

cover169622-medium

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.

But so am I.

Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?

I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.

Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.

I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

She want's a fight_

Excerpt

“Ryker . . . please . . . just let me go.” But this time when she speaks there is something in her voice that catches my ear. The same thing that has me looking a little bit closer, regardless of how much my chest constricts in doing so, and I notice the tears welling in her eyes and the tremble of her bottom lip. A chink in her damn armor. She doesn’t want to tell me we’re over any more than I want to believe her. “What the fuck is going on here? You’re hiding something from me.” “No. I’m not. This just can’t be.” She starts to skirt around me, and it takes everything I have not to reach out and keep her there. “Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you!” “And don’t you think for a second you can tell me what to do,” she counters, hair flying over her shoulder, jaw clenched. “I’m not in the mood for your games.” “My games?” she screeches and throws me off guard when I shouldn’t be. “My games? You’re the one who did this to me. All of it. And you tell me I’m playing games?” “What the—?” I stop and try to figure out what she’s talking about. My hands are on her shoulders, and I’m all but shaking her to force her to look me in the eyes. “Did what to you, Vaughn? What the hell have I done to you besides fuck myself over by falling in love with you?” Words that should be said with kindness come out in a frustrated rage. Truths I don’t want to voice, and now I can’t take them back. And she just stands there with her head shaking to reject my words, eyes wide with a hint of fear, and fuck if I don’t hate myself right now for everything I feel: rage, desperation, love, desire. How can you swear you’re not cut out for a relationship and love in one breath, then with the next fight so goddamn hard to keep it? What is this woman doing to me? I scrub my hands over my face and take a deep breath to calm the fuck down. To force myself to cool my temper so I can keep her here instead of pushing her farther away. “What is it, baby?” I all but plead with a voice as soft as I can make it. “Tell me why you’re walking away when you don’t want to.” She averts her eyes, confirming there’s something more. “I can’t help you unless you tell me what happened. I can’t understand why the other night meant nothing to you until you do.” Come on. Talk to me. “Carter paid me a visit after I left your place.” Her voice is soft, but her defiance is mounting. That’s definitely not what I expected to come out of her mouth. “What do you mean, Carter paid you a visit?” “Just what I said.” “Why? For what? That fucking asshole better not have touched you.” “Does it matter if he did?” Her voice rises. “You invited him into my personal life. You gave him everything he needs to destroy me.”

Excerpt:

“I thought you needed clothes so you could work? Like jeans and shirts.” “I do.” She gestured to a stack of clothes folded on the chair. “But I love these summer dresses. They’re so pretty. I’m worried this one’s too bright, though.” “Nope. It’s perfect. Now you just need a reason to wear it.” “I have one.” She watched him carefully in the mirror. “I’m going on a date.” “A date? With whom?” “The guy I met at the bar the other night.” Part of her checklist. Get freaky with a cowboy. “And he’s already asked you out?” Of course he did. She was beautiful and fun. Smart and sexy. What guy wouldn’t want to be with her? She nodded. “What’s that expression for?” He wouldn’t pretend with her, so he leaned in—real close. “He better be special, princess. That’s all I’m saying.” “Sometimes, all it takes is a moment.” She faked a dreamy expression. “Sometimes, you look into someone’s eyes and you just know. He’s your one and only. Your soulmate.” Okay, she was fucking with him. He straightened. “So, is Mr. Wonderful moving to St. Christophe to wear the crown or are you moving out here to work his ranch?” “Details. We’re just going to wing it, let true love run its course.” She laughed. “It’s just a date. It’s not a big deal.” “Yeah, but he might expect things.” She covered her mouth with a hand, her eyes comically wide. “You don’t mean…s-e-x, do you?” “All right, smart ass. Get dressed. Let’s pay for all this crap and get out of here.” “Wait. There’s one more thing I want you to look at.” She made a circling motion with her finger. “Fine.” “And close your eyes for real this time. No looking at your phone.” “Why? You gonna get nekkid?” “Actually, yes, and I don’t want you to go crazy and start pawing at me.” “I think I can control myself.” “I don’t know. All I did was ask one for one little kiss, and you were all over me.” He smiled. “Sure as fuck was. So don’t be asking me for any more kisses, unless you want what I’ve got to give.” “Oh, okay, bad boy. You’ve got me running scared now. Just keep your eyes closed. I’ll be ready in a minute.” Brodie wanted to watch her strip out of that dress more than he could ever remember wanting anything. He wanted to see her tits pop out as she leaned forward to let the straps fall from around her neck, her ass sway as she lowered it over her hips, and her smooth skin bared in the soft light of the dressing room. He wanted to see that shy smile and feel those bold fingers, wanted to feel her hips rock up and grind against his hard cock. How many minutes would it have taken before she’d gotten herself off last night? If he hadn’t walked out on her, she’d have come. He’d have gotten to watch her features go slack, her body seize in ecstasy. Fuck, yeah. He wanted to see that. Wanted to be the one to make her come. He heard her moving around in the dressing room, the smack of elastic, and then it went quiet. “You ready?” he asked. “Um…” He turned around to find her in a black bikini. Two scraps of spandex covered her plump tits, and the bottom was a strip of fabric connecting two patches of fabric. “Brodie.” “What?” “Eyes up here.” “How can I give you my opinion if I’m looking in your eyes?” “Can you at least wipe the drool off your chin? It’s very unbecoming.” “You going to wear that for the hot cowboy?” “Yes. I thought I’d answer the door in it and pretend I just got back from the lake, tell him I’m running late. Good strategy?” “Are you such a smart ass in St. Christophe?” She got a panicked look. “Shh.” “No one can hear us.” He flicked his fingers at the bikini. “You sure you need that thing?” “Okay, I’m getting from all these questions that you like the way it looks. I don’t usually wear such…flimsy swimsuits. I just wanted to know if it looks all right.” “You wear that, you’re going to wind up pregnant, and then what will your parents think?”She leaned close and whispered, “Then I’ll get the heir without the husband. Pure win.”

“Lincoln and Wren had me flipping through the pages frantically, begging for more. Their chemistry was explosive, their love story both hilarious and tender.”- L.J. Shen, USA Today bestselling author

Handle With Care, an all-new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting is available now!

12_13_Handle With Care (1) 6.00.05 PM

HE WANTS TO LOSE CONTROL.

Between his parents’ messed up marriage and his narcissistic younger brother, Lincoln Moorehead has spent the majority of his life avoiding his family. After the death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the drama. To top it all off, he’s been named CEO of Moorehead Media, much to his brother’s chagrin. But Lincoln’s bad attitude softens when he meets the no-nonsense, gorgeous woman who has been given the task of transforming him from the gruff, wilderness guy to a suave businessman

SHE’S TRYING TO HOLD IT TOGETHER.

Wren Sterling has been working double time to keep the indiscretions at Moorehead Media at bay, so when she’s presented with a new contract, with new responsibilities and additional incentives, she agrees. Working with the reclusive oldest son of a ridiculously entitled family is worth the hassle if it means she’s that much closer to pursuing her own dreams. What Wren doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to him, or for it to be mutual. And she certainly doesn’t expect to fall for Lincoln. But when a shocking new Moorehead scandal comes to light, she’s forced to choose between her own family and the broody, cynical CEO.

Excerpt:

“You have a suit fitting tomorrow morning.” “Tomorrow morning? I have lots of suits; I’ll make one of those work.” “Are they like the ones you wore to the funeral?” I ask. “Yeah, why?” “Well, they may have fit you five years ago, but they certainly don’t fit you now. I’ll text you the details and add them to your personal calendar.” “You can’t do that without my cell number.” His smugness would be grating if I wasn’t two steps ahead of him. I flash a fake smile. “I already have all of your personal details, Lincoln. Right down to your shoe size. And you can’t be late like you were this morning, so it might be a good idea to avoid the scotch tonight so you’re less bear and more human. You’ll need to use these things called manners. I can email you a refresher on what those are, should you need it.” “Sarcasm is a weapon of the weak.” My ears are on fire as he heads for the door. Jerk. I was being witty, not sarcastic. “Thanks so much for offering to help clean up the mess you made.” I turn to address the crinkled papers scattered on the floor. It’s common courtesy to offer assistance if you’re the one who made the damn mess. Even Armstrong, who is the most epic of douches, has some manners. Usually he’ll try to look up a skirt or down a shirt while he’s being polite, but it’s better than this. I turn to retrieve the papers when two things happen, a power surge ramps up the box fans—it happens at least twice a day, and at the same time Lincoln pulls the door open again. The simultaneous actions create a vortex of air inside my office, and my skirt flutters into the air. Like I’m Marilyn Monroe and I’ve stepped onto one of those subway grates. The fabric rises quickly, and a breeze hits me right between the legs, which is the exact moment I remember that I’m not wearing panties. Because they were covered in the coffee Armstrong spilled in my lap. I drop the papers and battle the fabric back down. It’s fruitless, though, the wind tunnel whirls through the room like Dorothy’s freaking tornado, and the back of my dress goes up. I meet Lincoln’s gaze from across the small room. All it takes is a second of eye contact before those ridiculously blue eyes pull me in, and weird, inappropriate things start happening to my body. It’s irritating as hell. I don’t even like this guy, but my body seems as if it hasn’t gotten the same memo as the rest of me. Even more aggravating is the realization that based on his expression, he totally caught an eyeful of cooch. Lincoln stands frozen at the door, eyes wide and fixed on my crotch, mouth hanging open. “Close the damn door!” My voice is siren high. And loud. “Right. Yes. I’m going. Now.” He steps out of my office, pulling the door closed behind him. My dress settles around my knees. “Dammit.” I drop into my chair, which is probably what I should’ve done as soon as the wind tunnel started, but clearly I’d been too panicked to think straight. On the upside, I went to see my waxer last week, so he’s seen my girl bits when they’re looking their finest. On the downside, my project for the next six months has seen my naked girl bits.

How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London

Release Date: June 17, 2019

Cover.jpg

How to Lose a Fiancé, Book #2 in the Greek Billionaires contemporary romance series by USA Today Bestselling author Stefanie London.

Sophia Andreou has always been the “good daughter” who tried to keep her domineering father happy. She followed the rules and did everything that was asked of her. But this time, her father is asking too much. The family company is crumbling, and her father has arranged a marriage to a Greek billionaire who can save their property business. What?! Umm no thank you. If Cinderella can dress up to win a prince, surely Sophia can do the opposite and ditch hers…

Dion Kourakis has come a long way from being an orphan with only a single friend to his name. Now he runs a billion-dollar investment company and has the respect of everyone in Europe. His charming personality covers a lot of emotional scars, including his desire to make his mentor proud. Dion doesn’t exactly want a bride to go along with his next business deal, and he plans on letting the lass down gently when they meet…

Only, his future bride has turned out to be nothing like what he thought she’d be. She’s quirky and has a habit of turning up to social events in strange outfits. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what she’s up to, but the harder she tries to convince him she’d be an awful wife, the more he wants to convince her they’d be perfect together.

CAN THIS BE READ AS A STANDALONE?

Yes! Each book in this series features a different couple, so they can be read in any order.

Blog Tour Teaser-2.jpg Excerpt:

He expected some hesitation from her over the marriage thing. Hell, he’d hesitated himself. It had taken him a full two weeks to process her father’s offer—or rather, ultimatum—and come to grips with the idea of marrying a stranger. Seeing his mentor, Elias, hooked up to half a dozen different machines after having a fall in his home, with tubes coming out of every orifice, had finally pushed him over the edge. Closure was now within Dion’s grasp, he could shut the final page of his father’s book. He wanted that feeling so bad he could taste it…so bad he would marry a stranger. “We have plenty of time to get to know one another.” Dion motioned for her to follow him outside. “Your father told me that you’ve been working in the family business.” “That’s right. I’ve been doing some general admin,” she replied. “And I have my own virtual assistant business, too.” The sun had set some time ago, but the lights dotted around the garden brightened the front of the house. He unlocked the car and held the door for her. “Ah, so you’re a businesswoman. I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about, then.” “Sure, although it’s not real passion in life, to be honest.” She looked at him expectantly, as though wanting an invitation to elaborate. “What would you rather be doing?” he asked. The car’s engine rumbled as he pulled out of the circular path in front of the four-car garage. A warm breeze carried the salty tang of the ocean into the car. “You know, I’m really passionate about taxidermy.” Sophia nodded as though this was the most normal thing to say. “There’s just something about animals that fascinates me.” “Taxidermy?” He frowned. “Like, stuffing dead animals?” “Stuffing or mounting,” she said. “It includes both.” Was she for real? Her expression didn’t reveal even a sliver of amusement. “I see it as a way to prolong an animal’s life,” she explained. “I know it might seem a little strange, but trust me. When I bring my collection over, you’ll see how wonderful it is.” He gulped. “Your collection?” “Yes, I have a huge collection. Squirrels and racoons and a couple of cats that I found. Strays, you know. Lots of people think they have time for a pet and then they just dump them. I even have a fox. She’s a real beauty. I was thinking we could put her in the living room. Or maybe the foyer, so she can greet guests.” She clapped her hands together. “Baroness Sasha Foxington III would absolutely love that.” Baroness. Sasha. Foxington the fucking third. Was he in a nightmare right now?

Excerpt:

Finally, after what feels like a millennium, the door opens and Dr. Mallard enters, smiling. He’s an older man who is always overly happy. I like him, even if I find his cheerfulness somewhat off-putting at this exact second. “Mrs. Simms, how exciting to have you here today. This must be your husband.” He walks over to Gabe, who stands, hand extended. “Sorry, no,” I chime in. “Definitely not my husband.” “My fault,” he apologizes. “Your boyfriend. This is a new age. Lots of people in lifelong relationships nowadays without marriage.” Awkward. “Nope,” I say, popping my P with a bit more attitude than intended. “We aren’t together.” I look over at Gabe, who’s holding his laughter in and I silently yell Help me! “Just got her knocked up,” Gabe finally speaks. “Classic fairy tale story of ex-sex turning into a baby. Turns out those silly condoms serve a purpose and really shouldn’t be skipped. Who knew?” “Seriously!” I yell while shooting him daggers with my eyes. All he does to respond is shrug his shoulders and give me an evil grin. “Okay, Miss Simms, if you can lie back and put your feet up we can check on this little miracle,” Dr. Mallard finally says as the nurse pulls the stirrups out and helps me assume the position. Even if you don’t want your ex-boyfriend back you still always want them to think of you as the sexy one who got away, not the girl nude and exposed with her legs in the air while a doctor probes her. Great, fucking great. “Sure.” I lie back and my head jerks to Gabe. “But you stay north of the equator.” “Not a problem, Leigh.” He smiles at me. “But it ain’t nothing I haven’t seen before.” “Well, it’s definitely something you’re never seeing again,” I snap back at him, causing the nurse to let a small chuckle escape. I try to act cool by the fact that the doctor seems to think sticking a huge wand up me is perfectly normal. Thump thump. Thump thump. Our bickering immediately stops. The room is dark and the monitor next to me is lit up. “Is that—” Gabe starts. “That’s your baby’s heartbeat,” the doctor interrupts. “And if you look over here, you see that small little bean shape in the middle there.” He points to the picture on the ultrasound machine. “That’s your baby. It’s currently approximately the size of a raspberry.” “Wow,” Gabe and I both somehow say at the same time. We finish the appointment with a plethora of information. Gabe is quiet and the silliness that existed in the examination room is gone. We check out and walk side by side. Neither of us bringing up everything we need to discuss. Does him showing up mean he wants to be involved? Does he assume we will get back together? Can we even do this together? Do I want to? All the questions are running rampant in my head and instead of saying a single one of them I simply say, “I’ll let you know when I have another appointment.” “Thanks.” He holds the door to the building open, letting me walk outside, him close on my heels. “I want to be here for you and our child as best as I can.” I nod, but my mind is still back in that office with that beautiful baby. My baby. “We ought to talk, Leigh.” “You’re right. But today I got to hear my—our, baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Let’s not ruin it, okay?” We’re standing in the middle of the parking lot, neither of us moving to our respective vehicles. “Okay, but soon.”

Especially when she’s pegged as the number one suspect.

Excerpt:

Grandma opened her mouth, but a red and gold flash darted through the window. It circled the kitchen before it came to settle on top of the fridge and showed the room its true form. Aunt Rose’s familiar, Honey, a red and gold macaw with more attitude in one sharp toe than most Haven Lake residents had in their entire family. She surveyed the room with her beady eyes before they came to rest on me. “Look what the cat dragged in.” I’d always hated that bird. “My cat will eat you, you little—” TJ coughed. Silence fell over the room. “The dirty creature would have to catch me first.” Honey followed that up with a bird noise and a flap of her wings. Is that vile bird here? Snow sounded way too excited in my head, and I was feeling way too petty to lie to her. On top of the fridge, I replied, digging into my pasta. Mee-row! The next thing I knew, the sound of paws on the steps reverberated through the kitchen. I smirked as a flash of white launched itself at the fridge. Honey cawed and took flight, but I shrugged a shoulder in the direction of the open window, and it slammed shut seconds before she could make her escape. Rose side-eyed me, while TJ grinned into his pasta. Honey circled the room, flapping frantically, while Snow jumped onto any available surface in her pursuit of the bird. Grandma surveyed the scene with barely disguised annoyance. “This place has gone downhill since my death,” she announced, straightening. “You’ve gone downhill since your death,” Rose snapped. “I heard that.” “Good,” I added. “You were supposed to. She said it loud enough.”

Published by Skittish Endeavours on December 25, 2014
Genre: Chick Lit

A Chick Lit Lover’s Delight. Fashion may be the central theme; along with a nagging mother, but with friendships, intrigue, a villain, romance, food and laughter too.

GiGi is a woman with a mission: to help people improve the way they look, increase their self-esteem, and eventually, make them happier people. Being a personal shopper is a dark art, with few tangible rewards. Spread by word of mouth, her clients would never admit they needed her assistance. Let us be honest, who would admit to being in need of a style consultant?

The first step is to admit you need help with your wardrobe. When you have recognised that, you are on the path to recovery, and GiGi’s services will help you, despite her mother nagging that she is not doing a “real” job.

So, is it just a matter of going around and helping people buy clothes and shoes?

Not quite so. Money is tight; GiGi has to work with wealthy and eccentric people, who often do not have any idea about what they want. She and her business partner Ritchie are in a constant struggle to keep the business afloat, but as they say in Dragon’s Den, she is very investable. But, with success comes the difficulties, the Battersea Fashion Center is going to open soon, and they claim they will be fierce competitors.

With the constant struggle to keep her business afloat; a powerful enemy lining up ready to make a meal out of her, knowing well that GiGi’s approach, eventually, will make her successful. The business expands, and they take onboard new partners, making them one of the most influential fashion consultancy firms in London. But, with a very demanding job, hours spent working, will she be able to balance her career and her private life?

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Describe your writing/editing/publishing process: On writing, I do so as and when I can as the past few years have been incredibly busy, due to house sale, move (which took five months all of which I spent in our French house – which we are still renovating after nine years!)  My two current novels just flowed… I couldn’t stop writing and sending chapters to my husband from time to time, for him to read and critique.  He loved them and during that time we had so much laughter in our house and I guess that comes across when turning the pages, from the reviews I’ve received so far.  Editing is a love/hate thing.  You have to do it and fortunately pick up on loads of inconsistencies when you do, in order that you aren’t too embarrassed about your writing when the time comes to send it off to the copy editor.  Publishing, being an Indie author, who started from scratch just a few years ago, was a very steep learning curve.  I had a great mentor though, being Donna Jane McDonald who writes somewhat sexier books than mine… she couldn’t have been more helpful with pointing me in the right direction and how to, what was then known as , though not now, Self-Publish.

Salty or sweet? Oh don’t get me wrong, I have a sweet tooth when I want or need it, but on the whole I’m a savory (though less salty) kind of person.  I love savory food, but would avoid anything that has too much salt, as have to look after my arteries.  When I cook (which is another passion of mine), I use Lo-Salt, so 50% less sodium than the average salt.

Where did you learn the most about craft of the romance novel? As far as writing is concerned, I took both English Language and English Literature at school, but that wasn’t where the romance came in.  Those were the stalwart of literature which are probably still taught today.  Romance I learned from either my own life experiences, or from reading… I’ve enjoyed reading for so many years.  My first foray into Romance were the novels of Jackie Collins, but that was a good many years ago.  Since then I have read so many it is hard to mention just one or two authors.

What is the most surprising comment or question you get when people find out you’re an author? What really!!! And then follows either wow, that is exciting, difficult and inspiring, or so what do you really do.    Some seem to think that being an author is a breeze, whereas others appreciate to man hours that go into writing, editing and putting a book out there.  I’ve not yet had anyone say anything too derogatory, other than my own Mother that is, at least in the beginning which is partly why this books has been given the title that it has.

Hard/paperbacks or eBooks? I have to say I personally buy all three, though so far I’ve only made mine available in either paperback or ebook.  The paperbacks are good to show people or do book signings, as some still don’t quite belief you are an author until they show you the actual book, rather than an author card.  Book signings is obvious and mine are available, as signed copies, from my website and always have been.  However, if you want to know which sells best, these days it is ebooks.  You have to consider that with house market prices (no room for a library any more) thought about the environmental impact, and those who no longer have the strength in the hands (my own mother for one due to arthritis) to hold an actual book, ebooks are becoming more and more popular.  I still love the smell of paper though so probably buy as many hardback or paperback books as I do ebooks.

Have you ever been star struck by another author? The only answer to that question, if any author is being completely honest, is of course.  I loved loved loved Jackie Collins’ books when I was in my twenties, though when I was younger I read a lot of Stephen King and James Herbert Horror stories.  I can’t stomach those these days but the most recent authors I became star struck by are Sophie Kinsella, Jill Mansell and Donna Jane McDonald.  Two of whom are now friends on Facebook and one of whom has been somewhat of a mentor to me.

What are you reading right now? Now I’m currently reading The Green Ticket by Samantha March, though I’ve only just started it. My last read was Grace Me With Your Presents by Pippa Franks, which wasn’t at all what I expected it to be but was delightful.  My next read shall be the last of Jackie Collins’ Lucky Santagelo series which I bought in hardback, around the time that she sadly left us.

How do you come up with the title of your book, BLUE AND GREEN SHOULD NEVER BE SEEN? Ok, for this I brought in the Mother element of my book.  It is about fashion, but not solely, and this was a phrase that my mother said to me, when I was young and even into my 20s, but I knew it was untrue and just an old wives tale.  I love the combination of Blue and Green, when done correctly with the right shades of each, and so I wouldn’t say it was a thumbs up to that age old phrase…

What is a day in your life like? No one day in my life is same as the previous one nor is the next the same as the day before.  I spend a lot of time following Facebook, marketing in various Facebook book groups, replying to emails, feeding and walking my dogs and cooking.  As well as the other mundane stuff life hoovering, cleaning, washing, ironing etc.  For the past few years I’ve also managed our Buy to Let property in the UK, which though we probably shouldn’t have done it, due to stretching our finances, we bought four years ago while waiting to find a buy for our home in the UK.  It took is almost 2 and a ½ years to find a buyer, which took a massive amount of time out of my days each week, due to have to keep the place neat and tidy in case of a viewing… then it took us a further four months to find a place to buy, and all of that time I was away from my husband, in France as there isn’t anywhere in the UK that accepts pets as tenants, along with their owners, at least not in the town we live in.  We have two beautiful ones though, a Westie and a Mini-Schnauzer who are like sisters to all intents and purposes, unless they are in season and then they try to mount each other…If you ask me about the past three of four months, my routine has also included a 150 mile round trip, once a week, to visit my terminally ill best friend since the around the age of 5, when we first started school together.  She has now lost her battle and so it is just a matter of time but I am thankful for each week that I can make that drive to see her and spend time with not only her but her family as well.

What is the best writing advice you’ve been giving? Show don’t tell would have to be the answer to that one.  I am prone to telling rather than showing and have to pull back and adjust my writing, when I feel myself drifting too far.  My husband is great correcting me on that front, though I never stray too far.

People would be surprised to know that you…: were a tomboy in my youth, particularly writing Chicklit/Romcom these days.  I would just as happily kicked around a football or play Tin Can Alley, as well as draw, paint or cook in my younger days.

What are you working on right now? Right now, though I hate to say it, I have three WIPs.  One is the sequal to Blue and Green (which is likely to be entitled “Red and Yellow to Catch a Fellow (Or so They Say)” , though that might change.  At this point, it is only at outline stage, though I hope shall not be for too long… other than that, and this is a bonus for you, my next novel is either going to be one set in New York, which I have yet to title, or one that the story grew from the title, which was inspired by a friend of mine.  That title, which I hope loads shall be drawn to, is going to be “I Don’t Do Winter!”.    You might well be able to imagine something from the last one.

About Colette Kebell

Colette Kebell is an author of Chicklit, though a relatively new one and thus far has self-published her books. Her books are light-hearted, fun and quirky and even considered by some to be inspirational. She has also found avenues to translate both into Italian (thanks to her husband), and one, thus far, into French, Spanish and Portuguese via Babelcube.

As a career, Colette spent her later years as a legal secretary. After a first attempt at writing many years ago (a book that still remains in her drawer) she resumed this passion a few years back, following being made redundant. After a few book signing events and a book talk, which almost caused her to collapse with nerves, Colette now spends her time between her home in the UK and her home in France.

Colette has two adorable dogs and spends some time, when not writing and marketing her books, cooking for herself and her husband, gardening or designing various items for their home. Amongst her other hobbies, she has also experimented with furniture upholstery, and she might, from time to time, have a paintbrush in her hand.

She can be found on twitter @ColetteKebell though doesn’t tweet a vast amount.
