Blurb: London Wright thought she’d been in love before, but she hadn’t—not even close.
Then, she met him.
Rugged and gorgeous, Loïc Berkeley, is everything she’s ever wanted. Getting him to notice her was a challenge, but keeping his love is proving to be more difficult.
London is used to getting what she wants, so loving someone like Loïc is a humbling and somewhat terrifying experience. For everything she has in her life, he’s the one thing she can’t bear to lose.
Loïc never wanted love. He views it as an unneeded distraction that always ends in disappointment, causing nothing but pain.
Then, he met her.
Spoiled but witty and breathtakingly beautiful, London Wright is his undoing. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew his life would never be the same. Though he tries to fight it, he finds himself falling for her.
Loïc has lived a life full of sorrow, but finding London brings him rare happiness. Though his feelings for her are strong, is what they have powerful enough to break the cycle of his past?
When one is destined for heartbreak and loss, can love really change anything?
EXCERPT
“Listen, Loïc,” she starts to say, her voice sweet and kind.
“Just save it, London,” I snap before I can stop myself. My walls and ability to be an eternal asshole are back in full effect.
Her eyes widen, but she quickly composes herself. She stands on her tiptoes and gives me a small kiss on the cheek. My body stiffens at the contact. She turns to leave, and her hand grabs the knob of the door.
But then, almost on instinct, she looks back at me. “I was just going to say that I really want to be fucked up together. And whatever reason you have for thinking you don’t deserve someone to love you is wrong. I see you, Loïc, more than you think I do. You’re a good person, and you deserve way more in this life than you’re allowing yourself to have. I don’t know why you’re punishing yourself, but you should stop. Maybe I’m not the person you need, but you need to find the one who is. Everyone needs love, even a big, bad warrior. Not everything in life should be a battle.”

BOOK REVIEW: “A Forever Kind of Love” by Ellie Wade
“A Forever Kind of Love” by Ellie Wade
Blurb: Book Two: Jax’s Story
I believe in soul mates. Why? Because I have one and her name is Lily Madison.
I’ve loved Lily my whole life; she’s all I’ve ever known. I didn’t realize how deeply she was ingrained into the fabric of my soul until I felt her absence.
Sometimes in life, once choices are made and paths are altered, it is often impossible to go back.
I know this because I stand here with a two-carat engagement ring in my hand, waiting to ask someone to be my wife. I’m ready to love and cherish her ‘til death do us part. But, there’s just one problem.
She isn’t Lily.
Will the choices that have been made change our path forever or can fate find its way?
**This is the second and final book in the Choices Series. Book one, “A Beautiful Kind of Love” should be read prior, (please click HERE to see my review).
*Intended for readers 18+ due to sexual content
My Review: I started book two, “A Forever Kind of Love,” in the Choices series, right after I finished book one, “A Beautiful Kind of Love.” I was excited to start this continuation, not only because of how much really enjoyed the first book, but because this time it was from Jax’s point of view–something that I was interested in from the start of book one.
The first quarter of the book was basically a rewrite from Jax’s POV, but once more of his story with Stella–who I had some issues with in the first book, only because I didn’t want her to come between Lily and Jax–came to life, I was torn between who I liked him with better. Then, when an unexpected twist is thrown in, though the timing was all wrong for…everyone.
By telling you what the twist is would cause a spoiler, but after reading “A Forever Kind of Love,” this series is the most-real series I’ve read–with real issues and feelings–proving that no matter who, what, and when you want you want to love “the one,” no time is ever the right time, and that if it’s real love, no matter that, the feeling of your first love will never go away.
I am a fan of series books, so I definitely recommend this one, and while to at times it seemed like a Young Adult novel, a genre I rarely read, I recommend it because of what you will learn about love.
I give “A Forever Kind of Love” 5 stars!
BOOK FEATURE: “Chasing Memories”
“Chasing Memories” by Ellie Wade
Blurb:
What if you found him, the one who was put on this earth for you? He was your perfect partner, your soul mate. Your life with him was more than you could have ever hoped for. The two of you created an amazing family full of so much love.
I did. And it was everything.
Then, one day, I woke up, and he was gone. They were all gone.
I can’t accept it. I’m stuck in a reality that isn’t mine, aching for the life I lost, one that made up the very fabric of my soul.
How do I find my future when my past won’t stop pulling me under? I’m drowning, struggling to breathe in this existence where nothing makes sense. It might be crazy, and I might be as well.
But if you’d experienced the joy of a once-in-a-lifetime love, you’d be chasing memories, too.

BOOK REVIEW: “A Beautiful Kind of Love” by Ellie Wade
Blurb: Every choice has a consequence.
I believe in soul mates. Why? Because I have one and his name is Jax Porter.
I have known Jax my whole life and I have loved him with every breath I’ve ever taken. The fact that we were born a mere month apart to mothers that are best friends has made us inseparable since birth.
What we have is so rare, one would think our story would be written, our fate sealed. But, unfortunately that’s not how life works. Life offers us many choices that can turn destiny into chance.
I now find myself heading toward a destination that I could have never imagined and I have to figure out where to go from here.
Will the choices that have been made change our path forever or will fate find its way?
My Review: Every now and then, I will buy books based solely on its cover, and when I saw the cover for “A Beautiful Kind of Love,” I knew I had to have a copy. After reading the blurb, it was easy to believe I’d fall in love with not only the story, but the characters, too.
After finishing this book last night, I was so overwhelmed with Lily and Jax’s love story that I went through a few tissues. From beginning to end, this passionate love story was a page-turner, filled with so many unexpected twists and turns.
At first, I had a lot of trouble understanding where Jax was coming from, wondering why he was being so selfish to make such a life-altering choice for himself and Lily, but at the end, it felt so real, and it made me realize that life really be harsh, depending on certain choices we make, (sorry, no spoilers on what happened).
As for Lily, I loved her character and could definitely relate to her. She’s a romantic who just wants to be in love with her childhood best friend, but that all changes, thanks to the “love of her life.” I applauded her for how strong she was. Though moving on is always hard, it was very obvious that Jax was never forgotten.
If you’re looking for a quick, romantic and sexy read about falling in love with your best friend, I highly recommend this book, and it would also make for a great holiday read!
I give “A Beautiful Kind of Love” 5 stars!
