About the author: Isabella Louise Anderson grew up with a book in her hand, and to this day nothing has changed. Aside from writing, she focuses her time on featuring other authors on her blog, Chick Lit Goddess, along with sharing book reviews. Isabella Louise is also a member of the Romance Writers of America.

She lives in Dallas with her husband and their two cats, enjoys spicy Indian and Mexican food, margaritas, and red and white wines. She loves spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Texas Rangers.

As the owner of a successful florist shop, Khloe Harper trusts her instincts. Happy Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S., and I’m blessed to be spending time with my family. Though there will be only five of us, it’s safe to say that there will be a smorgasbord of delicious array of food that could feed an army, (I have a feeling I’ll need to be sipping on Sambuca liquor later, to relax my fuller-than-full stomach after it’s all over, and, of course, while watching the Green Bay Packer game). Speaking of football, Dallas take on the Panthers, and while I’m a Cowboy fan, the highlight will be watching Luke Bryan during half-time.

Now, as a little treat for you, here is another excerpt, (different from above):

Her mouth was dry and she was hot, and it wasn’t the humidity making her that way either. Her guard was down and she knew it, too. She knew it was probably safer to go home, but she heard herself say, “Okay.” She took few steps past him into the house and went into the kitchen, Brad following behind her.

Brad filled a highball glass from the cabinet with purified water. When he held the glass out to her, their hands touched.

Quickly, she downed the water, but it wasn’t water she was thirsty for, and she didn’t know how much longer she could hold out. Electricity surged throughout her body and his touch made her come alive. Carrie wanted Brad Larson like she wanted air in her lungs. “I have to go,” she said, placing the glass down on the counter. She walked toward safety and freedom, but when she heard Brad’s footsteps quicken behind her, she knew she was still on dangerous ground. She was three steps away from the door, but something made her pause and turn around. When she did, Brad stood only a few inches away from her. “Brad…” She searched for the words, but nothing came to her.

Before Carrie knew what was happening, Brad’s lips were on hers, catching her off-guard once again, with his arms wrapped around her waist. Carrie placed her hands on his chest, trying to deny his kiss and push him away, but to no avail. Finally, Carrie succumbed to her desires and wrapped her arms around his neck, falling into him. As their tongues combined, she tasted red wine on his lips, and the woodsy scent of his cologne made her head spin. Breathless, Brad pulled away and stared down at her.

Carrie looked up at him, herself also out of breath. A whirlwind of emotions ran through her, ranging from being tempted by desire and disapproval of her actions. “Brad…” she began, breaking the silence, but nothing else came to her.

“Do you want to go upstairs?” he whispered, before kissing her again.

She put aside her moral code and went with what she felt in her heart. She slowly nodded. “Yes.”

He looked at her with hesitation. “Are you sure?” he asked, giving her one last chance to stand her ground.

“I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life,” she said, and let Brad take her hand and lead them to his bedroom.

Reaching the entryway to his bedroom, Carrie’s desire for him grew, and she took control. She guided them toward the bed, her lips never leaving his, and gently pushed him down. Standing in front of him, with his legs on each side of her, she held his handsome face between her hands and felt his hardness press into her stomach. As they stared at one another, she unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it on the floor. She held him close and hungrily kissed his neck, leaving a trail to his shoulders.

When his hands started to trace the sensitive flesh on her arms, chills soared throughout her body. She yearned to have him. His gentle hands rested on her shoulders, giving them a soft and slow caress.

He stood up and pushed her onto the bed. Brad reached around her and unzipped the back of her dress, letting it fall to her waist, and sat down beside her. He reached for her, and together, they lay side by side, as he held her in a close embrace.

The Love Life’s of Carrie Newman and Princess Fiona

Have you ever fallen in love with and/or married someone you didn’t think you would? Well, Carrie Newman from my book, “The Right Design” surely did, and so did Princess Fiona from the movies “Shrek.”

When Carrie met Brad, and Princess Fiona met Shrek, neither of them liked one another. Brad had an arrogant way about him, while Shrek was hardly anyone Fiona wanted to spend her time with.

…though, with time, things can change when it comes to love…

Carrie was in love with her boyfriend Roger, and she thought she’d marry him. Wanting to surprise him by making his sexy fantasy come to life, she walked in on him getting it on with someone else. So, after six years of being with him, she decides to pick up her life, leaving him, along with a chance at being a design firm partner behind her.

…So, what does Carrie do? She leaves Texas, heads to Florida, and starts another job. What she doesn’t expect is to meet her client before she gets hired at a reputable design firm, to design the interior of his home…

Like Fiona, Carrie doesn’t get along with Brad at first, but they do try their best to get along, (Carrie designing Brad’s million-dollar home, and Fiona being dragged by Shrek, to marry a king, Lord Farquaad).

…however…

As time changes, like Fiona and Shrek (it’s all about a kiss), Carrie and Brad (Brad saves the day, especially when she needs him the most) fall madly in love with one another!

Carrie Newman vs. Princess Fiona:

Which woman would do anything to defend their man? Both! Carrie and Fiona are very loyal to Brad and Shrek, and would do anything for them.
Which woman would do better in a mud wrestling contest? That would definitely be Fiona.
Who would stay loyal to who they are, no matter if it involves risking their heart? Both! Fiona knows the risks of kissing Shrek, because it would make her an ogre like him. As for Carrie, she’s very determined not to let her heart take over when it comes to her work boundaries. However, both women pick love, making Fiona into an ogre, and Carrie crosses the lines when she falls in love with her client, (however, what will she do when her ex-fiance shows up at her doorstep?).
Which would be best seen at business meeting, dressed in designer clothes? That would be Carrie. While she thrives on fashion for homes, she tries to always look her best.
